by Lewis Laska, can be obtained by calling Lorenda Patterson at 800-298-6288. Most
searches can be completed by the next business day. Sometimes, by using a credit card
for payment, your search results will reach you within 24 hours!
Cost of a search is $20 per case found, up to a maximum of $250. If no cases are found
on your request, there is no charge.
Each search is customized to your needs. Tell Lorenda what you need and those are the
cases she will look for. National Products Liability Database Report reports verdicts (both
plaintiff and defense) and settlements involving product liability claims. It also publishes
information on opinions in products liability cases, as well as recall information. Claims
of defective products which have not reached the court system are also included. You
can request information based on a specific product by a specific manufacturer resulting
in a specific injury, or look for cases involving a particular manufacturer only, or a
particular type of product regardless of the manufacturer. Our database includes more
than just the cases reported in the newsletter, which has been published since October
1991. There are some cases dating from the early 1980's in our database. We can look
for all cases, or recent cases. You are the one to decide what suits your needs.
Once your search request is clear, the search will be performed. You will then be called
with the information regarding the number of cases found which met your search needs.
Once this is determined, you then send a check, or use a MasterCard, Visa or The
American Express(c) Card to receive your cases. Searches which are of ten or fewer
cases can be faxed. If you need Federal Express service, just have your Federal Express
number ready.
