LEWIS LASKA is an attorney, CPA, and professor at
Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN (yes, the
letters after his name can go like this: J.D., Ph.D.,
C.P.A.). He has been publishing newsletters since 1984
and now publishes five national newsletters and one
Tennessee-based newsletter, along with editing an
additional Tennessee-based newsletter. He has written
extensively in a variety of areas, including a book on
the Tennessee constitution published by Greenwood
Press, a self-published book on locating expert
witnesses in medical malpractice cases (not currently
in print), law review articles, and articles for
several legal, accounting and historical magazines.
LORENDA PATTERSON is an attorney who has worked with
Lewis Laska since 1988. She is intimately familiar
with the medical malpractice and products liability
databases held by the office and is most likely the
person who will answer the phone when you call. She
manages most of the day-to-day activities in the office
and is the person to talk to for searches of our
databases, receiving complimentary issues of a
publication, and generally finding out if what you want
is something our office can provide.
In addition to these two professionals, the office
depends on outsourcing of a variety of tasks, along
with part-time and temporary personnel to assist in the
writing of cases and collecting of information for our
variety of publications.
